Half an hour ago Furia started along with the other participants.
I feel tempted to state that in my humble opinion (not being unbiased) and according to Vesko (and he is an architect and designer), dressed in her new sails Furia was the most elegant and beautiful yacht. We were enjoying the slender shape of her hull (contrasting the fat sterns of the Sun Fasts and the likes of them) and that high aspect mainsail with that gorgeous BUL 220 with the runic Luffe logo at the top which adds a sort of Viking touch. And though the route does not pass via Iceland, it goes far north enough to match Furia’s Scandinavian born heart. Or let me quote Brodsky “Beauty at low temperatures is beauty”.
With Mihail at the helm Furia was one of the first boats that crossed the start line and in the weak wind of this typical U.K. foggy day Furia was gliding in the grey waters alongside the big ones.
Come on boys, trim on the sheets because beauty by itself is not enough to win the race.
