Furia is a Luffe 37.09, manufactured in 2014 by Luffe Yachts ApS, a Danish shipyard in Kolding, Denmark, owned by Oluf Jørgensen, designer and constructor, who has been making fast seaworthy and very beautiful sailboats. Luffe 37.09 (stands for 37 feet, model 2009) is the smallest of the Luffe Yachts product line.

Furia is a Luffe 37, hull number 220, vacuum moulded in epoxy which improves the strength, lightens the hull and makes it water resistant. In the bottom a steel frame is moulded to the hull serving as keel base, mast step and crane lift attachment point. The keel is a mixture of fibreglassshaft and lead. The deep rudder is made of glass fibre reinforced polyester with aluminium rudder stock and tiller steering. The cockpit, deck and helmsman seat as well as the tiller are all made of teak. The engine is Yanmar 3 cylinder, 20 hp, sail drive with 2 blade Flexofold folding propeller.

Furia is a 9/10 fractional rigged sloop with the following basic specifications:
LOA: 11.16m
LWL: 9.21m
BOA: 2.75m
Displacement: 4.2t
Ballast: 1.55t
Mast and boom: Carbon fibre
Mainsail: 27 sq.m
Self tacking jib: 23 sq.m. It is the first Luffe 37 with self tacking jib and it is definitely a big plus for shorthanded sailing without compromising the performance.

Furia sails under Bulgarian flag. Her registration number is SZ-1101 and her home port is Sozopol, located on the west Black Sea coast. Her skipper is Rumen Kotov.
